Hypothetically, if Bama loses, who does FSU likely play?

Ohio St. Baylor is going down at Ok St next week.

Be real. Floridia State hasn't seen a team like Bama either. The only good team they played is Clemson who has no defense.

Currently Clemson would rank as the second best defense Bama has faced all season. The number one they've faced? Another ACC team in VT. Hmmmm, I thought only the SEC played defense.

And Clemson is as good as TAMU.

No just no

What on earth makes you think A&M is better than Clemson?

Lol at these SEC homers saying 2011 LSU was better than 2013 FSU. Are you people on drugs?!?! They ran through an overrated SEC with one of the most dominant defenses and a TO/Special Teams monster in Mathieu that allowed them to mask the fact that they had a fvcking vegetable at QB.

FSU would beat that team as bad if not worse than 1/9.

I was with you till here man.

If this year's Florida State team is as good as you're making them out to be, they'll absolutely crush Alabama this year. And that's very doubtful.

If Bama plays like this versus Auburn

They won't. There's typically a let down after LSU, and there's typically one game a year where we don't play great. Not excusing it, but it is what it is. Fortunately we're crapping the bed against a MSU team that can't beat us regardless. All that said, if you think Alabama is bringing their "D" game, or anything less than their "A game" against Auburn, then you're just helpless.

FSU is almost a carbon copy of the Bama team that skull fvcked LSU only they have a better QB and better WRs.

It would be a prison rape.

Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins were shutdown by FSU's defense this year. WTF do you think Jordan Jefferson would do?!?!?!

Really? Because we could go transitive property all day. And the transitive property is just dumb in college football, and everybody knows that, but... Florida St's second best win is Miami, right? Well BC beat VT then VT beat Miami. So, transitive property says...

You really want to rank the SEC top to bottom and the ACC top to bottom and see who's stronger?

I'm not arguing the ACC is better than the SEC. I'm saying the SEC is a shell of its former self from the past few years and the whole "we play in the SEC" spiel doesn't cut it this year.

No one is talking transitive properties.

Statistics at this point are a cumulative comparison of teams. VT and Clemson would be the two best defenses Bama has played.

That's not the transitive property...

LSU wouldn't rely on Jordan Jefferson, if you watched them at all.

They'd run the ball and try to control the line of scrimmage with power plays. They had a really, really good offensive line. Comparing 2011 LSU to this year's Clemson team makes no sense, as our style was nothing like theirs. And LSU would use the run to set up the pass to Randle, who was one of the best deep threats in college football that year.

If you honestly think it would be a prison rape, then I don't know what to say to you. Florida State's defense this year isn't in the same galaxy as Alabama's was in 2011. They beat LSU in the title game because they could stop the run. How many teams with big, huge offensive lines who have a great power running game has Florida State played this year? Probably none.

So yeah, the Clemson comparison makes no sense. LSU beat all kinds of great teams with great offenses that year. You know how? Running the ball, controlling the clock, owning the line of scrimmage, etc.

I'll do the SEC though:

Alabama
Auburn
Mizzou
Texas AM
South Carolina
LSU
Georgia
Ole Miss
Vandy
Florida
MSU
Tennessee
Arkansas
Kentucky

The ACC would be at UNC or BC by the time they got to South Carolina

And from that list I'd only consider Bama/Auburn to be good.

Mizzou lost to USCe and has beat up on the trash teams of the SEC (UGA included because of the # of injuries when they played)

Who is the ACC's 3rd best team? Duke?

In your opinion. Just wondering...

I watched every LSU game that season. Everything about their offense was a mask, hidden by their prolific defense and special teams that set them up with outstanding field position or outright touchdowns.

The UGA game in the SECCG was a perfect example of that. LSU's offense couldn't do shite in that game, but Honeybadger's insanity made it look like LSU dominated UGA when it wasn't anything close to that.

You're not controlling the LOS against FSU's DL and LBs. And Randle is a nice WR but Clemson has 2 guys who are better deep threats.

What great teams did LSU play that year?

Eh, LSU would try banging their head against a brick wall for a couple of drives. FSU would smother them while Winston and Co went to work on LSU's D. After getting a double digit lead LSU would start trying to air it out. Obviously, hilarity would ensue. Then Wilder and company would roid rage LSU's D on the ground worse than Richardson and Lacy did.

Same result, just more hot FSU coeds on Bourbon afterwards.

Agree. FSU wouldn't skip a beat against any of those other defenses.
