"Look at Zach Mettenberger. What he did was a problem when he was wearing a red jersey, so he's gonna go where a purple jersey where it's not a problem"

The problem with Mett at Georgia was his timing. He got in trouble after a few other guys where Richt didn't do anything - so Zach became the "example".

Doesn't sound like the announcer was taking a shot at LSU, chill out. Sounds like he just has a problem with kids getting in trouble at one school and being able to freely transfer to another. His argument is pretty dumb for sure, but it wasn't a shot at LSU. If Mett was at Michigan the announcer would've just said "blue jersey" instead of purple.

Nobody said it wasn't an ignorant and dumb statement, just that it wasn't exactly a shot at LSU. He just used it as an example. Seeing how he's calling a USM game on CSS, he's probably from the area and thus LSU/Mett was the first example to his mind.
