Could have used Mingo & Sam's energy/swagger this year.

Yes, their play last year didnt match their hype on the field. But, this years D has been flat all season. No one seems to get the homecrowd or even the rest of the Defense pumped up. Miss the arm waving and "hulk smash" move.

I'd prefer Minter's lack of swagger, but abundance of football IQ, tackling ability, and playmaking tendencies.

The same energy/swag that saw them pack it in early last year because they we're leaving? No thanks. There is a lot wrong with this team but the lack of Mingo and Sam "energy/swagger" ain't one of them.

yeah, we could have used Keke and Sonic but what we really needed was a Brockers blowing plays up from the inside out and a Minter rudely reversing opposing rb's direction.
could be wrong, but I don't ever remember seeing the bama defense ever doing any of that foolish junk dancing. take care of business...secure the victory...dance when you get the crystal.

Good Lord, who cares? Just because Bama is the standard of excellence in cfb right now doesn't mean we have to run our program exactly the same way down to celebrating like them. I loved our defensive swagger the last few years. Alabama doesn't celebrate because they play for the strictest coach out there, and that's all. There's no magical correlation between celebrating big plays and winning.

I don't understand you guys, Montgomery usually crashed his whole side taking on double teams and forcing the QB into Mingo or somebody on the other side. Finished with 8 sacks 13.0 tackles for loss, 2 pass deflections and 2 forced fumbles, that is a great year for a DE.
