he would be crazy to go to Alabama. He would soon be a superstar in his home state, ala the safeties before him - Laron Landry, Chad Jones, Eric Reid.

I just don't understand how a kid can seriously consider both Alabama and LSU? if you like one, you have to hate the other, right? don't get it

because he's making one of the most important decisions of his life and has to make an informed decision considering all possibilities...?

Everybody knows, kids from Louisiana must go to LSU.

Contrary to what the fans believe, the players of these teams don't hate each other or the other school.

If you watched the game last weekend you would clearly see that the LSU and Alabama players do not hate each other.

The only one who really gloated and spoke with disrespect afterwards was LC.

poor question, if you were an LSU fan, how can you consider rooting for or playing at bama?

kids do play ball for the love of the game, but mostly the attention when your at this level. why would you want to be a star in the state of Alabama, a state where you hardly know anyone vs your home state?? its a no brainer

Your problem is, you're thinking like a fan, not like a recruit. Huge difference.

Maybe...juuuuust maybe...if some of y'all thought like this, then LSU would actually look BETTER to recruits.

Instead of pissing and moaning about the possibility of a recruit choosing another school, maybe some of y'all should recognize the decision that is before them, and then understand that the decision that they make is what they think is best for THEM. Then, instead of claiming that the kid sucked, we never wanted him, or he's a traitor for leaving the state - wish the kid well in every game other than the one's against LSU.

That way, instead of looking like a petulant fanbase who dismisses a recruits decision making process - we would then look like a group that is accepting, stable, and a place that would make a kid feel comfortable for a few years.
