Said he should be back sometime next week. Just hope he doesn't come back too early.

Rather him wait it out now in November. He'll be ready to go for the big time soon.

We need him badly for Old Spice. In my opinion we have to win a couple games there. If we get 3 losses non conference then 5-6 in sec play...we're squarely on the bubble.

I wouldn't go so far as to say we "need" him. Look, I may be completely wrong, and if I am I'll happily admit it, but I don't think he's going to be quite the difference maker this year (at least early on) that people expect him to be. I don't say that to knock the kid. I say it to temper outrageous expectations. He's very talented and has the skill set to potentially be the best player on the team. BUT, he's playing a new position at a much higher level of competition. He's going to need some time to adjust.

Darcy Malone was also injured and that's why he didn't play. He WILL NOT be redshirting.

He didn't say so, but Im assuming he should be available.Stitches isn't a long term type injury.

He's my favorite person. Dude is a comedian. Hope he gets some work. He has some developing to do, but he has potential. Has athleticism and is 7'. Just needs some work.

This. His twitter is pure gold. I ran into him outside Tiger Stadium a couple gamedays ago and we had an awesome high-five. CSB.

No one is saying the dude is Andrew Wiggins or Julius Randle or Jabari Parker. But not having a 6'8 230 NBA style SF hurts. In high school he just ran around and played everywhere on the court, it's not a HUGE adjustment. I don't expect double doubles, but he can score in bunches. He can easily average double digit points with 5-6 rebounds and a couple of blocks. With the new rules for defense, his length is desperately needed. Pretty sure 12 points and 6 rebounds on average is not "outrageous" for the #10 player in the country coming out

This happened to me and Eddie Ludwig last year. It was awesome. I was school girl giddy...

Yeah if he can rest up this week, hopefully the rest now will prevent this from being ongoing thing all year.

Malone was acting a fool at the volleyball game yesterday. All the athletes seemed to love him.

Like everyone else is saying we're not expecting Martin to be the savior we're expecting a guy that can start and be another athletic big man that is a threat to score on the floor. Like I've said before...If he would have played against UMass we would have won that game and prob by 10+

looking at the schedule, it would be nice to have him back for southeastern. get a few minutes uunder his belt heading to orlando. would hate to see him try and jump right back in and try to play 3 games in 4 days. there are 6 days between the se. la and st. joe's games so that would be good timing.
