PS4 On...powers up in 11 seconds. With voice or controller, I have the option.

With voice

the PlayStation 4's camera / mic array can only interpret a handful of relatively basic voice commands. The console can't be "woken" while in standby mode by voice, for instance, nor can you command a video playing on Netflix to pause. In fact, at launch, none of the third-party apps on the PlayStation 4 will allow for voice commands

Ours works with a mic too! No yelling across the room. And I get a choice if I want it or not! No wasting $100 with no option!

Choices! Murica!

Except your voice commands barely do anything

They do quite a bit, and get more and more functionality as time goes on.

But who really cares? Gimmick that offers zero to the normal consumer. For instance, read the comments in the link you posted, quite funny.

Luckily us PS4 guys aren't dumb enough to pay $100 extra for voice commands and a weaker console.

List the noticeable things that the PS4 can do that the Xbox One can't. Just curious.

Sure, offer more performance from more powerful hardware.

From the tear down of both consoles:

With that said, irrespective of whether developers can harness the Xbox One’s ESRAM, I don’t think Microsoft’s console will ever compete with the PS4's larger GPU. I think the PS4 will always have the edge when it comes to raw graphics power, and thus higher output resolution and smoother frame rates. In reality, due to commercial restraints, I expect most cross-platform games will look virtually identical across the two consoles for their entire lifecycle. PS4 exclusives that take full advantage of the console’s superior hardware, though, such as masterpieces produced by Naughty Dog, will probably look significantly better than anything on the Xbox One.

I highly doubt anything on the PS4 will look "significantly" better than anything on the Xbone.

From the side by side comparisons, it appears that the Xbox One looks better. People claimed that the PS3 was far and away more powerful than the Xbox 360 but there was no noticeable difference when I owned both.

As I said, tell me noticeable differences in the consoles. The graphics won't be much different. Gameplay has already shown that.

It won't and seems like a meaningless thing to argue about in the grand scheme of things especially at launch.

The games I am playing right now on my 360 look 10x better than anything I played when it launched. Hell I just redbox'd AC4 and it looks better than AC3 that came out a year ago.

It all comes down to games and which you prefer IMO. That and how much the additional entertainment features matter to you.

This 100%.

I always heard how PS3 had better graphics than The 360. I didn't own a PS3 so I had nothing to compare to. Then my bro in law has a PS3 (and he was a huge fan always bashing Xbox talking about how great and better his ps3 was)

We both would play things in both consoles. Needless to say after about a year his PS3 ended up in the bottom of his closest while his new 360 is his pride and joy.

It all comes down to personal preference. But I personally would rather use the one that's online capabilities blow the other one out of the water.

This was the case early on, but 2-3yrs later all titles looked the same. Each platform had their laggy parts but none the less, graphically it all meshed together in the end.

Not only was the PS3 GPU worse than the 360's GPU, but the PS3 was much harder to develop for. Even if all of the power of the Cell was harnessed the PS3 would barely come out ahead of the 360 if at all. I think the gap this gen is bigger than last gen. I really don't care considering I'm a PC guy now, but the PS4 looks like the better purchase despite lacking must have games.

So you would base your purchase on graphics instead of the actual enjoyable part, the games.

Yeah, choosing a console based on graphics is laughable.

Only reason you would play consoles is for the game library and ease of use.

WHAT!!!

I believe it will turn out even smaller. Those APUs are damn near the same. You have some small cache PCI memory on one and GDDR5 on the other. Besides that, both are almost the exact same.

The speed of those resources might bring a few higher frames but that is about all. Not like you can have tessellation.
