After the Bama game I wasa pretty bummed that recruiting efforts for 2014 was gonna take a hit, but I haven't heard of any major hits, in fact it almost seems like its helped a bit. Its like these elite 5 star guys see themselves playing early at a big time program. Does anyone else agree?
TIA
TIA

it's one game
We were terrible in 2008 and 2009 class was the best ever.

It has been stated repeatedly, but most recruits do not base their decisions off 1 game

I agree! I think it helps that we have a down year. Look at 2009 year, best recruiting year in Miles tenure after worst W-L record at LSU.

Yes, I don't believe one game usually plays that much of a role in a recruit's choice. But a great visit can help.
However, I noticed many fans seemed to think LSU's linebackers seemed too small. Also, both offensive and defensive lines were outplayed. I am not sure this upcoming class will address these areas that much, outside of Garrett and possibly Young at LB.

Has this been discussed yet?

Even if this was meant to be slightly tongue-in-cheek, I believe it's true. They see LSU keep coming close to beating Bama, then losing it. They want to join the good guys and overthrow the giant.
