After calming down and it took a while and after careful consideration of all the facts I realized its still great to be a Tiger fan in regards to LSU football.

LSU tied one the best teams of the Sabin era at Alabama after turning the ball over twice in the first half. Yes, LSU loss by 21 but that was only after getting worn down. I've come to realize that LSU has not lost that much ground with Bama, LSU held their own for over a half, what LSU mainly lacks is depth. I see LSU as just 8 or 9 high quality players away from being back to even with the Tide and winnning another title. Not bad considering what LSU lost from last year with players leaving early.

Whether its 5 star high-school players or in Juco, if LSU can get just the right number of big time players 8 or 9 ready to play, LSU will be right there with Bama. Would definitely go big with the Dline, taking at least four and one great off.lineman, linebacker, safety, DB, and runningback all of whom are ready to play now. Give me that and I'll give you Bama's arse in Tiger Stadium.

And the person who posted Louisiana is growing Bama fans certainly didn't ask this one. It would take a hell of a lot for this Louisiana man to become a Bama fan. First I'ld have to marry one who had the perfect build, attitude and skills. Must love everything and willing and able to do everything including hunting and fishing, and before any such considerations even become a thought must send pictures of her body and boat.

LSU's great success over the past decade was mainly due to having great defensive lines and db's. And Les Miles had LSU prepared with a great defense for this year but was gutted by players leaving early for the draft. We're seeing what happens when LSU loses its defensive identity. If Miles is guilty of anything its losing a few great players in the state of Louisiana. I don't think the 4 million$ will motivate Miles to double his focus as much as re-watching the last 4 minutes of the Alabama game. Just my opinion.

LSU just needs to get back to winning the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. If you look at the young talent we have on OL, we should be good moving forward. DL is what worries me currently, but with players like Gilmore, Bain, and Herron all RS this year, plus Lacoutre, Hunter, and Bower all getting some experience this year, we may be good moving forward depth-wise.....especially if Freak and Ego decide to stay.

We have talent that is developing and waiting for their turn to shine.

It's always great to be a tiger fan. When you put things into perspective and realize that this is a great university with unique traditions, it makes it easy. I love being a tiger fan, win lose, or draw.
