Is this trade suspicious?

Team 1: trades Eric Decker, receives Ray Rice and Shane Vereen.

Team 1 and 2 owners are brothers (twins)
Team 1 is currently 12th in 12 team league, did not have a single player put up 10 points this past weekend. Team 2 is currently 7-3, in third place.

Not really. Decker has been feast or famine, but he is overall having a good year. Rice has been pretty abysmal. And Vereen is just a solid flex play. It makes some sort of sense for both teams.

Ray Rice is awful. Shane Vereen plays in a timeshare and has been out since Week 1. Decker is streaky, but it's a PPR league so I guess the thinking behind it is he is more consistent because of that.

I'm not saying whether i think it is or isn't, but two owners in our league have said something so I figured i'd ask you fine folks.

Doesn't seem like it. Rice and Vereen are both gambles at this point. Decker is inconsistent. Both sides seems like they are taking risks here.
