2008- Alabama 27 LSU 21
2009- Florida 13 LSU 3
2012- Alabama 21 LSU 17
2013- Alabama 38 LSU 17

If we want to be a top program again, this stat needs to change

Since 2007, what are other "top" team's records against AP #1 teams?

LSU's beaten two #1 teams ever. Don't act like this is our downfall. No one beats #1 teams on the reg.

In fairness, we were #1 almost the entire 2011 season, and beat a few top 5 teams that year, incl #2 Bama.

But that probably messes up your story, so I'm sorry.

I'm guessing no one else has played close to 4 games against #1 in the last 5 years? Maybe once or twice tops?

What was Auburn ranked in 2010 when we played?

Dumb stat...

Here's another. LSU is undefeated against teams ranked #100.

There's a reason those teams are/were ranked #1, and considering LSU hasn't won a national championship since 2007, it kind of makes sense that they are 0-4 against them.

A much more meaningful stat would be record against top-10 teams or something similar.

Like top 15 or top 10. They started the season 23 that year IIRC. Thats what Cam Newton will do for ya

you do realize teams are usually ranked #1 because they dont lose much right?

Is this your #demise #fireles attempt?
