Interesting to hear an outside perspective...
These stats were worse than I thought....

Let’s start with what doesn’t come next – or shouldn’t come next: changes to this coaching staff. All the more so given the epic recruiting class just a few months away.
Those casting stones at defensive coordinator John Chavis are either ill-informed or simply fools – or both. Chavis sent nearly a dozen players to the NFL following the 2012 season. Yes, there is considerable talent still on this roster, but no program suffers THAT much turnover in a single season without showing some weakness the following year

With two games remaining, the Tigers rank just eighth in the conference in yards per carry – a better gauge of performance given some offenses run more or less than others. Still, it’s even worse than that.
In conference play, LSU’s rushing attack currently ranks tenth in yards per carry. Against ranked opponents, it falls to twelfth.
And in losses, LSU’s rushing offense ranks dead last in the SEC at just 2.9 yards per carry. Dead. Last.

This year many in Red Stick hoped that LSU’s offense would overachieve to make up for its defense’s inexperience. However, that was not to be. In fact, not only has the rushing attack been below average, but the Tigers are currently experiencing their worst turnover margin in the Les Miles era, at -4. Ranked twelfth in the conference.

Get that unbiased commentary out of here. It has no place on the rant.
Although, I have found CFN to be more pro-LSU than not.

The Rant universal response. "But Nick Saban does."

So many fans in here think that LSU could simply reload this year on defense like they generaqlly do year after year. It is damn near impossible to do that with so many early departures. We just have to accept that this year. The constant rotation of the Dline during games is not there for a reason. I do wonder of Miles did enough to keep some of the juniors who bolted. He seemed to have surrendered to the idea that you recruit for 3 years now, not four. LSU will be fine going forward.

We are in a 2-3year cycle of 3-4 loss seasons IMO. Gotta hang in there. When our 2013-14 classes mature, we will once again be top notch.

Those numbers confirm what I've suspected for quite a bit.
We are completely reliant on Mett, Jarvis, and Odell.
I know I'll take some heat for this, but I honestly think Hill is extremely overrated. He's a great big play threat, but if he can't break off the big 50+ yard TD, he's actually very frustrating to watch work.
For a 230 monster like him, he is one of the least physical runners I've seen. Rarely initiates contact, probably because he's looking to turn every play into a 50 yarder, so he rarely finishes runs with any authority. In fact, he leaves his feet almost every time a play isn't going all the way. Rarely holds his ground and drives his legs. As a result, defenses don't really get worn down the way you'd expect with a 230 pound guy that is also as fast as Hill is working them for four quarters
What I wouldn't give to see him run with a Spencer Ware mentality from time to time.
He's a talent, but Magee ran much more physically Saturday night and most of the season IMO.
Bash away.

Yeah it seems pretty obvious to me.
No clue why a guy that big refuses to lower his shoulders and keep his legs pumping when he gets in traffic.
He could really do some damage and get those extra yards falling forward.

The coaches don't teach holding on to the football in practice.
They're also responsible for the runners holding on to the ball in games and are also responsible how much pressure they put on the ball with their arms.
The coaches are responsible on the throws that Mett make as well.
Didn't you know that?? What are you? Stupid or something?

I think you are totally ignoring O-line play. This unit has seriously underachieved this season. Hill is a top 5 national RB. There is a reason why we avg less than 3 YPC in our losses, O-line totally shite the bed in all three games.

Can anyone here tell me what Les should have done to NOT fumble at the goal line?
ANYONE???
BUELLER?
I know what you're all gonna say. "Copeland shouldn't have carried the ball."
IT WAS THE PERFECT PLAY. All he had to do was hold on to the ball and it's TD.
Every bit of that was on Copeland. Not Miles.
