What's the deal in here? We lost to a good (Not great, FSU is going to maul them if that match-up happens) Alabama team, that everyone was expecting.

If you were expecting LSU to beat Alabama, something is wrong. I wanted them to win and I expected it to be a 3-7 point game but it wasn't. And you know what? Oh fcking well, because as an LSU FAN I trust in the coaches and players to get it together next year. LSU has had some pretty rough moments this season, but in the end there is nothing you can do about it.

Fire Miles!!! yeah let's fire Miles and get someone else. please name me a couple of guys who could have done the job that miles has done in his almost-decade. Miles is not a GREAT football coach. When he is up he sits on the ball and when he is down he freaks out with the play calling and doesn't trust anyone but himself. He is, however, a good coach for LSU.

At the end of the day you are an LSU fan, or LSU alum, or pay TAF or whatever the frick, but you have no say in what this team does so why are you getting so upset? Do you have nothing else in your life besides LSU football. I'd like to think a big difference between LSU fans and Alabama fans is that if our favorite team loses we have something else in life to look forward to instead of crying on national television.

TL;DR focus on other shite

Ah, the inevitable we're inferior and football isn't important post. Great mentality.

People from Alec would accept mediocrity.

So you disagree? Please expand on your thoughts, if at all possible.

I'm not saying we are inferior. i don't doubt that there may be a very minute percentage (< .2%) that may know more than some of the LSU coaching staff. But what can you do? Seriously? What can you do?

Go be irate for your Sunday, have a bad attitude around your wife and kids(a lot of you) and make them feel awful or go enjoy other shite instead of focusing on something that about 3 months down the line will mean absolutely nothing.

I have a lot more in life than LSU football but I will not have a bull shite complacency attitude. With the amount of money our athletic department spends we should settle for nothing less than excellence.
Here's the list

1) Mike Sumlin
2) Urban Meyer
3) Chris Peterson
4) Gary Patterson

And don't forget the man who HAS DONE THIS and is currently building the best dynasty in the history of college football Nick Saban

Seriously?

Then close the board down because none of us should ever question the coaches. We shouldn't question politicians either because we don't have access to all the info they have, etc. This is a tired argument for the airheads.

My mood isn't really affected by the loss because, like you, I have accepted mediocrity and inferiority to Alabama. Unlike you, however, I am not satisfied with it.

Thanks for the pep talk, Aristotle, but believe or not 99.9% of the populace isn't letting the game ruin a second of their lives.

However, this isn't the gardening board. It's the Tiger Rant so this is an appropriate forum for people to, well, rant.

I didn't say I was satisfied with it, I'm not but there is nothing that I can do to change it, unless I wanted to start a career in coaching football and climb the ranks until I am head coach of the LSU football team.

You have some valid points. But saying Bama will get mauled by FSU - that seems like a stretch. How many times has Bama been mauled in the last five years?

Please don't direct any further posts at me. Considering your post count I'm pretty sure you've lost all motor functions that would allow you to actually speak to someone in the real world.

Yeah, I don't know where people are getting this. Alabama is a little tougher than Wake Forest.

And it's any fans right to complain about inferior coaching, especially on an internet message board, ya douchebag.

Here's the list

Well, that's a hilarious list. Let's see:
quote:

1) Mike Sumlin
lucky pick by the Aggies, Nobody thought he was going to amount to anything; and were it not for Manziel, he would likely be on the hot seat by now. He's allergic to defense, btw
quote:

2) Urban Meyer
couldn't handle Saban at Florida, and he'd never come here
quote:

3) Chris Peterson
You mean Petersen at Boise, I assume? He's been successful at being Cinderella with 1-2 big games a year, not by playing in a real conference. Also, have you noticed he had his arse handed to him a couple times this season?
quote:

4) Gary Patterson
um, see above regarding Petersen re the Cinderella thing. Now that TCU is actually playing in a conference, Patterson is looking downright mediocre (note: by "mediocre" I mean his team is sitting around .500, not that they are in line for a bowl but not the national championship).
quote:

And don't forget the man who HAS DONE THIS and is currently building the best dynasty in the history of college football Nick Saban
ahh, the jilted lover syndrome. Let it go, Saban quit the LSU job and loves where he is. And did you watch him celebrate his win last night? It's clear he loves beating us. He wouldn't come back to LSU for any amount of money.
