Who are the better songwriter IYO?

"Take a walk" is on par with "day in the life" if not better in most ways.

What do you think?

I'm 33. The only person that I know personally who likes the Beatles -- like actively listens to them -- is one of my oldest brother's friends. So he's probably 42.

And with respect to the above, keep in mind that:
a) I'm by no means reclusive. I'm more like the antithesis of a recluse. So, without sounding like a dick, I've met lots and lots of people throughout my 33 year journey on Earth. And,
b) I love talking about music.

People don't like the beatles. The band never gets brought up. Nobody puts them on a playlist. You won't hear one their songs at a party. This conclusion is supported by what I believe to be a more than sufficient sample size.

Nobody listens to the Beatles at parties, that's for sure.

My friends and I always go on skiing trips and never listen to The Beatles in the car.

I'm a bit older and i listen to the beatles pretty often. No, it's not "party music" but I love to listen to beatles music while working around the house or driving.

Not sure what kind of parties you go to, but my consists of a giant bowl of LSD-infused Four Loko and the likes of "I Am The Walrus" , "Flying" , and "Tomorrow Never Knows" on repeat.

I listen to The Beatles. And this is a very silly comparison. The Beatles are one of the greatest ever and will be for generations to come. Passion Pit does not even compare.

I've never heard of either so I can't make a comment other than to make that comment.

The Beatles easily. At least one of their albums works into my rotation monthly.

I meet a lot more people who actively listen to the Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin to compare it to bands from that era. Their current popularity certainly is nowhere where it used to be. The vast majority of people who I have met who listen to them lived through that period.

I do actually actively listen to The Beatles, and I have met just a handful of people who do as well. And I have heard Come Together played at a couple of parties.
