Afreaux is excited about this victory over a Big East power.

You referencing the Xavier mishap here was almost as good as the actual Xavier mishap itself.

Oh, and a big "frick yeah" to J Jones.

XAVIER HEAD COACH DANNTON JACKSON QUOTES On competing against LSU … “LSU is just long. Their length caused us a lot of problems, and their athleticism caused us a lot of problems. They got a chance to go out there and transition, and they did a great job on the board. They just limited us to what we could do inside until late in the second half. It’s a very talented LSU team that was very long.”

Length is the most important thing in basketball. Something LSU had 0 of since 2009.

Temple, Taz, and Terry Martin were all over 6'6" and Thornton was a pretty big body for a SG. They had plenty of length for who they played. Which wasn't many guys.

Lol taz started the 4. Martin came off bench. Temple is only one you can honestly say.

Here we go with the forking comparisons to snakes again. Snakes are long... people are tall.

Bench players don't count? They barely played 8 guys. Johnson played a ton. Temple played a ton. Thornton played good D. Taz played bigger than his size. Which wasn't that small. That team has length and athleticism.

Someone that is 6'9" with a 7'3" wingspan is long. He's also tall, but that's not what people are referring to here. Not a difficult concept.

I'm not arguing that they weren't athletic or good team. But you can't change my opinion on them not being long. Taz was a small PF. He isn't long by any stretch of imagination. Check out his blocks or lack there of. Or dunks lol. Terry Martin was a role player. Decent off bench. Thornton and Bo spencer definitely can't be considered long. Storm came of bench. Another short post player. I will give you Johnson and temple as I already have. Although temple played 3 a lot at 6'5 which isn't tall, but he did have good wingspan. And Chris Johnson is definition of long but was a beam pole. That team had a lot of heart and Thornton is prolly my favorite player in long time

LSU was undersized that year. Giving Terry Martin 6'6 is beyond generous. 6'4 1/2 at best and he didn't even know what defense was. Chris Johnson was 6'10, but also 195 pounds. Him being tall was negated a lot.
