Yea I tried to look but they were broke, going to check that pair of leupolds out. We have tried the 29.99 pairs at walmart an it always ends up he has mine. We hunt alot of open bean/corn fields so good glass always helps. Funny how parents will drop 200 bucks on a 8 year old a ipod/ipad/ps3 but arent willing to do it on something that will get there butts outside an spend hours together with.

I'm not against it at all. I just know how I was when I was that age and I seemed to lose binoculars and all every so often.

I bought my wife a pair of Nikon Trailblazer ATB Binoculars, 10x42, she's real happy with them. I find they shake a bit much for me, but I have a slight tremor to my hands. She says they work fine for her.

Tdog,
I have a pair of Leupold 6X30 Yosemite binoculars. They were not very expensive, but good "quality/cost ratio". I see where Midway has the entire product line on sale. I can recommend them w/o reservation. LINK

A few years ago I bought a pair of Burris Fullfield II binocs for my son-in-law. Liked them so much, I bought a second pair for my son. I can recommend them, as well. Here's a review.LINK /

Natchezss.com also has factory refurbished binocs.
