Duck Dynasty Question

Was talking about this today. For residents of the metropolis of West Monroe and heck Monroe for that matter since I guess the kids go to OCS, what happens when you see a Robertson in public? Do you care? Do you ask for an autograph? Do you gawk with envy? Are you one that has a picture in front of that sign?
Just curious. Used to go out to Phil's place way before DD when I lived there. Even hunted with him but that was back when they were just good old Norfeast LA folk that made some duck calls.

That hasn't changed. The only thing that has changed is that more people know about them now.
They were a big deal up in NE LA long before this show started. My mom was saying that when you see them out in public now it is usually someone not from the area that is pestering them at the grocery store or gas station.

My sister was up there to get a prom dress a month or so ago, and the building was closed for renovations.

My daughter was in the same softball league as Willie's daughter. When I saw them at the park it was mainly young kids asking to get a picture made with them. Most adults would just leave them alone. If we are out and see one of them, we will say there is Godwin or who ever and just leave them alone. But you can tell people are all talking and telling everybody at their table who just walked in.

I got into a pit blind a few years back that was Martin's the previous year. This was before he hit the big time with the crew. The guy that recruited me to the pit goes to their church and is pretty close to them. In fact, one of the dove hunting episodes was on his land. Martin and Godwin actually came back and hunted one morning.

Phil doesn't even have a cell phone and I was in 8th grade so about 30 years ago give or take a year when I shared a blind with the man. It was cool though. Seriously, I used to play some golf with Willie and Jase when I worked out at Chennault but my man at the counter was in charge of getting our games together. If I could track him down then maybe I could get a # for you.
