TE & RB open all day underneath. UGA has been watching our film. We gotta do this against Bama. The heat will be on Mett. Gotta check to crossing and underneath against an aggressive pass rush.

It's going to be the Landry and OBJ show. They're going to air raid that Bama secondary.

When has LSU thrown to the tight end under Les Miles? I am not criticizing. It's just not a big part of the offense. They get 1 or 2 balls thrown their way a game and that's about it.

Les set this up all season. Didn't throw to TE all year, cost us a game at Ole Piss and now he's unleashing the secret playbook. 3 TD day for Desean Smith and 2 TDs for Dickson. Bama thinks we only play with 10 people on offense and they're about to get surprised. Les brings the genius plan.

If you check my posts you will see that I might say something negative about Les one out of every fifty posts but one thing that I was always aggravated about was how he looked to have wasted DeAngelo's potential at the TE spot instead of using him as a slightly slower Julio type on the outside. Everyone was pumped up about his taking the reigns from Dickson as the receiving TE but that was just a pipe dream.

At the same time, it wasn't like out passing game was very awesome at the time. I have to hope that CCC can pull the Tigers out of their TE receiving slump. I can only grin when I think about what that guy might be able to do with DeAngelo.

Hard to do that with two tights, two backs, and Landry on the sidelines.

Better come out with a better game plan vs. Bama than we did vs. OM and Fla.

I don't think les is saying don't throw it to the tes. Actually I'm pretty sure he'd rather Matt do that. Like checking down instead of forcing 3 ints. But I thought can was running the offense.

No knock on Peterson, but if he was such a threat you'd think he would have caught on in the NFL. Guess time will tell with smith.

Its like the whole BS about Shepard. How he would have been great at Oregon, yet he gets cut by chip Kelly.

yep, you can't be a good college player without making it in the NFL

1st half vs. MSU as a freshman - 4 carries 26 yards

--not 1 carry in the 2nd half. The team finished with 30 yards rushing in the game. That was the story of his career at LSU. Produced with the ball, benched the rest of the game

You laugh, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he has Cam on a very short leash in this game. If Mett continues the interception streak, Miles will shut the passing offense down. I'll be pissed as hell if, after an extra week to prepare, we see the return of the toss dive and a game plan that's unimaginative and predictable. If Bama stuffs the run and we are forced into 3rd and longs that allow Saban to blitz Mett repeatedly, then we are in for a very long night. Bama's pass defense is their weakness, so we need to be patient and take what they give us.

We havent really ever had a good TE under Miles, sans Richard Dickson.

He could've been an All-American if he had been used as a weapon and not just an extra blocker. The TE is pretty much non-existent in a Les Miles offense.

Well over the course of two years, he had 699 and 10 TD. Those two individual seasons would be what you would expect for a pretty decent CFB TE. I think a smarter QB utilizes his TE and RBs and we just haven't had that for a while.

I hate to agree but the facts support this. The amazing thing to me is that the I-form has such a huge opportunity for the TE in the passing game.

One of the biggest things that I hope CCC can do is consistently take advantage of the TE in the passing game when the defense give this to us.

Shepard sucked! Get over it! But you won't because, like a love struck schoolgirl, you went all in for Shepard based only on recruiting services. Now, you can never admit you were a fool, so Les has to be the fool who wasted Shepard's potential.
