Well, you probably don't get Joseph barksdale, Spencer Ware, Ethan Pocic, or be in with clifton garrett w/o stud. It's not like he's as bad as this board makes him.
Unfortunately, you can go back over thirty years. Lsu hasn't and will continue to have trouble producing great offensive line's/lineman. it's really simple. The state of louisiana doesn't produce many really good ones. when it does and we keep them home, we have our better offensive lines. Most of our o-line has to come from other states.

Me too.
I have to say though; from my experience at the Rant, they think that all you need is a two-deep at each ol position.
I don't get it,.
For the roster, I always thought it was best to have 6 or 7 tackles ...... Good ones for depth....of course.
As well as having 8 interior linemen.

Here comes Stud's fan club members--what few there are--to defend him.
I seriously doubt that Reuben Randle & Mingo chose LSU because Stud is such a great recruiter.
Still think LSU is easily capable of an upgrade at OL coach, both in terms of recruiting and in terms of coaching the players at that position.

can't tell you why, except that he's a bama steal or that he reminds me of dwayne peirce.....y'all remember him?
he was dunzo at LSU until a certain coach made him get the most out of himself.
ETA, Aww crap, i forgot that this is the Rant and some kid's gonna say that "his career hasn't started....how can he be done and then revamped?"
Look at his video and see if he doesn't remind of you of pierce.

Stud haters are just as bad as Les haters. Im not stud fan boy but Randle and Mingos recruitments were highly highly contested and if they would have gone anywhere the first roasting boy would be stud. Yet we sign them and he gets zero credit. You want to give Wilson credit for getting kids from new orleans which is much closer to BR, but say Stud has nothing to do with getting those guys. Cant have it both ways.
Just like Miles and the offense this year and from 2005-2008, high powered balanced etc. However its nothing to do with Les. Only 2009-2011 are on Les.

Agreed it has caught up to Miles and company big time. You have to win the trenches and LSU this has lost it.
