yes. we had draft eligible players come back this year.

looking at the roster we had 20 draft eligible players come back, not counting walk ons.

Why do I have the feeling (based on nothing tangible) OBJ will go but Landry stays? How many days till Christmas?

They're both gone after this season.

Didn't Lafell stay his senior year? Not everyone jumps early

ETA: not sure if he stayed

We could really benefit from returning at least one of those DTs

Really gonna suck losing our QB, top two half backs, and top two receivers. Not to mention Collins

Not that $400,000 isn't a lot of money, but that is 3rd round money. That's what Tyrann makes a year, same with Minter. Hell, Russell Wilson only makes $525,000. Barring an unforeseen injury, 75% would probably benefit by returning one more year.

Eh.

Hill is an elite talent, but when was the last time LSU didn't have a stud(s) at tailback?

Let's say Fournette doesn't choose LSU. Yeah he would be a great addition, but not having his talents wouldn't be the main issue. The main issue would be that LSU didn't sign the best recruit in the state.

The Tailback position is never an issue in Baton Rouge.

DJ Welter is draft eligible. Tough decision for him to make I'm sure.

We'll be as thin at the running back position as we've been in a long long time if we lose Fournette. Losing Fournette would be a fricking disaster.

Nah, we'd be able to flip a four or five star from somewhere, but I highly doubt Fournette doesn't sign his LOI with LSU.

Dont want to get any of you excited but I have hear from a source in program that jeremy hill thinking about returning as part of him "making it up to tiger nation" for his suspensions both now and out of high school. Also have heard ego and collins may be returning.

Here we are visiting this same damn issue. I know that it is hard to pass up the money, but the only real money is in the first round. Reid, Mingo, and Mathieu due to his personal issues made the correct decision. I think the other guys, particularly Minter, could have possibly gone higher had they stayed and had good years. The truth is that I do not see anyone getting picked in the first round. I think Collins could benefit greatly from another successful year at his true position of left tackle. Landry and Beckham are short by NFL standards and they lack true elite speed, especially Landry who does have great hands. Ego and Freak are not having the type of production that Logan had, and Logan went in third or fourth round. Hill is an elite player, but his personal problems will hurt him as well as the fact that teams have kind of gone away from drafting RB's high in the first round. I know my thinking is outmoded, but it is about LSU, not the NFL.

EGO & FREAK are both overrated. Won't hurt my feelings if they both go. We will really miss OBJ, Landry & Hill!

They aren't getting the benefit of LB help. The NFL will be all over both of those guys.
