Will Rick Moranis ever come back?

Many of the films I loved growing up either starred or featured Rick Moranis. For a guy who has a pretty small filmography, he was one of the most recognizable comedic actors in the mid-80's into the mid-90's.
He left the industry in 1997 to raise his kids after his wife died of cancer. While he still releases comedy albums and makes a couple guest appearances here and there, he has always maintained that he doesn't really miss making movies, but there is a possibility he would come back if the project were good enough. It's been almost 17 years, hopefully he decides to do it.
Even if he doesn't come back, we should take a moment to appreciate this staple of many childhood favorites.

He will, but in very limited roles. He doesn't like being in front of the camera, so it has to be the exact right thing for him to do it. If I remember correctly what he said on the Nerdist a few months ago.

He did a nerdist podcast a few months back and he sounded pretty happy with his life and uninterested in the hassle of film making. It sounded like the only way he would come back would be as part of something with other people he liked working with like Steve Martin.

He wrote a very odd editorial piece about ObamaCare in the Wall Street Journal a couple weeks ago. He's a strange bird. Doubt he'll ever really get back into acting.

I wish he would. I would definitely like to see Louis Tully make an appearance in Ghostbusters III.
MY clients are still under a judicial restrangment order! That blue thing I got from her. My clients could be exposing themselves!
AND YOU DON'T WANT US EXPOSING OURSELVES!

Very good comedian... one of my favorites.

Almost every bit of his dialogue in Spaceballs was repeated by my friends and me in everyday conversation. I can't think of any wasted lines of his in that movie.

Rick has stated several times that the Hollwood lifestyle was just not for him and that he is a family man now.
That being said, I doubt he comes back.

So I just googled him. It says he is 5'-1" tall?! Never noticed how short he was in his movies if that's true.

That would be the greatest thing ever.
I'd like to see him do something with some SCTV alums, just fr kicks. Maybe something related to a John Candy tribute.
Or, ya know, Little Giants 2.

Icebox is pretty hot now.
I'm still waiting for Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money.

It's still a favorite of mine. SCTV was greatness as well. Very talented cast, on par with the original SNL group.
