LSU vs. Southern is roundly considered a very, very bad idea.

that's the kind of thinking that holds back progress. Good thing the powers that be decided to let the black players play for the so called powers of football. Imagine if they didnt, hell southern and grambling would be staking claim to national titles by now.

Could you imagine what it would be like AFTER the matchup? LSU would literally hang over 100 points on them. SWAC football is atrocious.

There's very little doubt in my mind that the 5A High School Champs in LA, with a decent coach, could probably beat every single school in the conference. No lie.

What? Race specific institutions?

Yes, I completely agree

However, I don't think that is what you meant

I'm saying people keep saying that LSU would put 100 points on the board against any SWAC team. Well first of all, Les Miles will not run the score up on anybody. And the score is not the emphasis. Hell there are alot of teams that LSU has played that talent wise have no business on the field with the Tigers.

Why not give Southern or Grambling a shot, all other schools in the state has gotten the chance and guess what, they use that as a recruiting tool. Hey come play for us, and get a chance to play in Tiger Stadium. Or on national TV. What's so wrong about that?

You couldn't pay me to sit in Tiger stadium if they are playing a SWAC school.

I'm with you on that Primetime, while some posters on here want to imagine how the Southern fans would act or whatever, but could you IMAGINE LSU without the black players? Heck they seem to be conducting themselves pretty good for the most part. But yet SOME people think that grown adults can't conduct themselves in an orderly manner.

Because Grambling and Southern barely count as educational institutions and need to die.

And yes, I'm calling you an idiot. DWI.

well TnBhoy, they ARE NOT dead and Southern isn't going anywhere. They have a dynamic young AD that will bring the athletic department to the forefront. But keep on living in your bubble, I'm sure Southern appreciate Georgia for giving them a chance to play on the big stage next season. For those on here that bask in the glory of seeing Southern and Grambling struggle financially, just remember without the black athletes that don the purple and gold, LSU would be almost dead in athletics also. Would Southern ever consider leaving the SWAC and moving to FBS? They'd be natural rivals for the UL-Xs and Latech, and could perhaps get in the Sunbelt Conference.

Added: Lest this suggestion be thought outrageous, there was talk of Jackson State and Florida A&M joining the Sunbelt several years ago when the conference was looking for new members.
