Hopefully the Saints compiled all of the BS calls from the last two weeks and sent them to the league office.

not sure what good it would do unless we assume it will make its way to the refs. Then they will either get pissed (McCauley vs Brees seemed almost personal) or be motivated to get it right.

He did somehow "miss" Brees's head being turned around by that face mask...

The false start at the end of the 1st half was a huge call. If we get s 1st then there was an extremely high possibility that we come away with some points.

I still have no idea how they missed that one.

It was 3rd and 1. It's no secret we haven't done well on obvious running situations - we know it, Brees/SP knows it, and defenses know it.

Quarterbacks can be called for a false start penalty (five yards) if their actions are judged to be an obvious attempt to draw an opponent offside.

The first false start was an obvious attempt to get the 1st down from the off-sides penalty. I was at the game and could audibly hear Brees issue at least 3 audible snap calls. I rewatched the game from home, I heard/saw the same thing. He was in constant motion throughout the process, simulating the snap of the ball. This is a judgment call by the Ref, and being a Saints fan I can objectively say that I can see that this penalty was warranted.

Now the second one was bullcrap. It was probably due to Brees saying what he thought to the ref after the call. The second FS penalty was a flag-happy, megalomaniac way of saying "I'm in control here."

I wasn't home so didn't see it, but was it his typical "put front foot down while motioning hands to the center" move that Brees does ALL THE TIME?

a hard snap count is not considered by the nfl to be an obvious attempt to draw the opponent offsides.

He has to simulate an actual snap. So if he pulls back like he has the ball, then it would be a penalty. I just rewatched it on NFL Rewind (end of the 1st quarter), and it is a ridiculous call. He flinches, but he makes no drastic or obvious movements that simulate a snap

yep. If that is a penalty, then the offsides on us in the 2nd quarter is BS

But I'm not ready to say the refs are out to get us.

Neither am I, but roger for sure is out to fricking get us. Nothing would be more sweet than to win the superbowl and rub it in that frickers face.

I kinda wish our games in Chicago and NE were later in the season. We need to get more used to the cold for the SB.

We have the seahawks game for that.

Ummm huh?
