Who's going to the midnight release for BF4?

I'm gonna take a nap today and then start doing the Dew. So many times I go to a midnight release and by the time I get home I'm too tired to play.

Do they do anything special for these midnight releases? Just stand in line forever, get your game, and bye? I never felt inclined when I was a young gamer, and there is no way I'd do it now.

If you preordered the digital download you could have it preloaded and ready to play by 11pm CT tonight. Yes I'm ready.

Would be nice. I've heard of some Halo launches where they'd have a LAN party of the previous game leading up to midnight. Something.
I've waited in line to get good spots at a concert and for roller coasters, but that's it.

I don't get why people stay up and go to a video game release. What is the point? Amazon happily drops it off at my office the day it comes out. Other than the supernerds already being colonel 100's by the time I get off from MY JOB, I really don't see why they do it.

Sometimes they'll have some TVs set up so people can play the game. They don't let anyone have the game until midnight, but they will usually open a copy and let people play it early.
I've been to ones with free pizza before, which is nice. Plus there's a sense of camaraderie with the people in line because everyone is waiting for the same thing. So you can stand there for a couple hours and talk about Battlefield with like minded folks, and I enjoy that.

I think if you're younger, no responsibilities to speak of, and you're going to be up all night anyways..................maybe, like if you go with friends or something. I was in that situation for Halo 2, preorder and all and a friend was going to the midnight release. I gave him my receipt and told him to give me my copy the next day.

If you go to Gamestop today they will still let you "preorder" it, and you can pick it up at midnight and still get the China Rising expansion.
