Pro Football Reference has him 13th overall in tackles.

I think that is Solo tackles. Not bad, but when you add in assists, he is not in the Top 13.

even more impressive, IMO. He's out there by himself for the most part.

Yes, he is a monster in space. Never misses a tackle.

DJ Welter and Lamin Barrow have a shite ton of tackles too....see how I did that?
Perry freaking Riley is listed as T-13th
Solo tackles >>>> combined tackles any day of the week.

Why the knock on Perry Riley? He is a beast for the Skins.

I never thought he was overrated as a player/playmaker. I thought he was overrated as a cover corner. Which is why a lot of people thought he should be moved to safety, which turns out was the right move.

If a safety has a lot of solo tackles, it can mean that receivers arw catching a lot of passes on him.

We need to see avg distance from LOS.

Context is important.

I only get to watch the Cards here and there on Redzone. When they played the 49ers a few weeks ago he stood up Kappernick right at the stick on a zone read on 3rd and 3 to force the punt.

I saw his slot coverage numbers a couple weeks ago too and its damned impressive. I think hes allowed 1 td so far.

Yeah but he was gone after last year whether he played or not. So last year was the only realistic shot of him making a difference.

We'd have beat Bama, beat UGA and played ND for our 2nd NC under Miles.

Maybe, but then you can look at those teams and say what if they had people on the team from the year before? Obviously talking about TM7 being dismissed and Juniors leaving is entirely different, but if you wanna play the "if we had him" game, no one touches Bama if Dre K, Dont'a, and T-Rich are on that 2012 team.

Not all the time, at least CFB wise since you mentioned WelterBarrow.

Last year CJ Mosley had a solid difference in solo tackles and assisted tackles.

He has 30 solo and 29 assisted this year. Sometimes other players are good too and get to the ball at the same time.

Eric reed says Hi!

Reid is awesome, and I know San Fran has a huge fanbase, but he's not as exciting as Mathieu and Peterson.

This guy (Mathieu) was slated to start as late as the summer of last year. He wasn't eligible to leave so I can play that game. He was supposed to be there. Seeing as Yeldon has fumbilitis, it would have been candy from a baby.

So basically the 2011 team? That LSU beat with a terrible QB? ok
