What worries me is that the Saints have only scored three rushing touchdowns this year. (Sproles, Brees and Robinson)

I think one of the shifts in this offense came when we signed Sproles. We switched from a "run to open up the passing game" offense to the opposite. This method fits better with CSP's aggressive play-calling personality. If the defense is going to give us the passing game, we take the passing game. The running plays are just enough to keep the defense honest.

They've been doing better on the ground on first downs lately, but if they run on second down it's been really bad, usually a loss or no gain. Then we have a 3rd and long and we end up slinging it anyway. I'd prefer them to pass - run, or run-pass, never run-run, or pass-pass (with the exception of one of those being a screen pass). Against the Bills we ran it twice - 1st down we got good yardage, 2nd down we got TFL, 3rd down was a long one and went 3 and out. That's kind of been the M.O. for the season.
