I'm in a situation with my Tahoe where I currently owe more for the vehicle than KBB value. I bought the vehicle used with 62k miles and it currently has 79k. I bought the truck a year ago and have had nothing but problems. Some problems electrical, burning oil, and had to have the navigation replaced which falls under electrical. I was wondering what my options were as far as going after the seller and a redhibition case? Or if any of you have had this kind of experience. Much appreciated.

Also I have had it less than one year, and the vehicle is under an aftermarket warranty for another 8 thousand miles. With that said I'm not looking to have it "fixed" until my warranty runs out, but start fresh with another vehicle without taking the hit on a trade in.

You bought a used vehicle with 62k mikes, unless the seller made some significant and written gaurentees, I do not feel you any claim for anything

Lemon laws apply to new cars, not used vehicles with 70k+ miles on then welcome to the roll of a dice on buying used...

I understand that, however in Louisiana we have laws that protect a buyer on things like this. That is why I was looking into the redhibition laws.

Have you asked the seller to repair the issues? Did these issues exist when you bought it?

No, you added more than 25% to the mileage.

Seriously, no one could sell a used car if people could bring them back.

You also learned a lesson about buying an upmarket used car when there are more things to break on them.

Other than the car fax report where the electrical harness had been changed twice that is the only info I had received. I had to take it to another Chevy dealer today, and the owner of the dealership has been very helpful. They are going to try and fix the problems, and if not they are going to try and get me another vehicle. If you want to send me your info, please email me at bcolelbc@yahoo.com.
