Serious question about student attendance

Does anyone know how many tickets they are allotted? Do we have any actual numbers on what the attendance is?
I always assumed that their stands look emptier since the students crowd down into the lower section. At least that was the case when I was there all those years ago.
I was just curious what the actual figures are.

When I was a student from 1998-2002 the student section was full from top to bottom for most games. Very packed on bottom but no empty sections in a conf game unless it was bad weather or late in a blowout. I don't know what's going on these days.

Auburn it was pouring during the first half, which always gets people to no show.
UF had major issues getting on campus, and even bigger issues actually getting in.
Not really fair to judge the attendance on those two games.

The number I was told a few years ago was 14.5k.

I think part of the problem is getting in. Back in my day, all you had to have was a ticket. You would have friends from other schools come and sit with you. This is no longer an option...or at least a simple one.

It seems like the top right of the student section is always empty because people try to cram in to the main part of the student section because no one wants to sit up there. It's right under the score board and not as fun.

I have moved on but it doesn't make it any less bitter. He tried to come back to us when he left Miami and we told him no because Miles was under contract. Was that a bad move on our part? I don't know as it would have been pretty dishonorable to fire Miles at that point but we also would have more crystal trophies in the cabinet.
