I'll reserve my anger over the OM loss until after the Bama game

If we lose to Bama, the OM game is meaningless in the context of SECCG, etc. If we beat Bama, then the OM loss becomes a nightmare loss that potentially cost us the SECCG and possibly NC.

what if we beat bama and then lose to A&M?
what if we never had to play UGA like bama and tamu didn't have to?

I just don't think with our present defense we can beat Bama. However I still have hope.

our defense actually matches up better against bama than ole miss and A&M

If LSU beats Alabama, just enjoy for what it is.
This year's team just doesn't have the horses to get to the NC this year. Can't win them all.

So what you're saying is that you want us to lose more games. That way, you won't be pissed about losing to the Ole Missus.

That's what it looks like.. Some of these fricking people.

I am as big a fan as there is, but if you really think this LSU team is going to beat Bama, you might want to reconsider. It's just not going to happen. Good teams win every week no matter who they play and Bama is just on another level. The truth is the truth.

Every LSU fan should be angered by the loss at Ole Miss. It's inexcusable considering the circumstances.
Prior to the season this looked like a tough game, and one where you could envision an up and coming Ole Miss team knocking off LSU at home. But going into the game Sat. night, LSU was facing a team that was physically and emotionally fragile. They were missing 6 guys on defense and their starting RB. They were also coming off a heartbreaking loss at home, which was the third in a string of 4 games that everyone knew would define their season. There's no doubt in my mind that if LSU comes into that game ready to go and goes up by two scores early, Ole Miss would have folded. But in typical Miles' team fashion, LSU let an undermaned and over-matched team gain confidence and a belief that not only were they going to be able to compete, but that they could win the game. No, ZM's first int was not on Miles and the coaching staff, but after the second one to thwart a scoring opportunity on the SAME F'ing ROUTE, something should have been done.
I'm certainly not in the "fire Miles" group. However at some point you think he would learn after 9 years of the same old shite that his teams consistent lack of a killer instinct keeps far too many games against inferior talent closer than they ever should be.

Then what the hell is the excuse the last few years when we have had the horses? Karma?

Beating Bama would be satisfying, if for no other reason than to ruin their season, but it really doesn't do much else for us!!

I am not talking about the last few years. If you think having the horses is all you need to win an NC, then I can't help you.

This year's contest will not be a contest. Bama will make ground meat out of this defense.

No way LSU beats Bama with this defense. We have 3 weeks to make some kind of miracle transformation on defense, otherwise it could get extremely ugly.

I'll be happy if we beat Bama and A&M. Post season aspirations are over after Saturday's performance.

Nope. The OM loss is still a bad loss regardless of Bama. If we beat Bama and aTm, then OM loss keeps us from winning the west. If we lose to Bama, then we go to an even worse bowl.
I'd be happy with 10 wins this year, but we needed to beat OM to get there.
