Do you think the cotton bowl would take us even though we opened up there versus TCU? And do you think it would be a possible matchup with Texas? I'd really love to give them a butt kicking

Not with four losses they won't.

They've taken a 4 loss LSU before. Hell, they took a 4 loss Ole Miss in 2008 and 2009...and a 4 loss Arkansas in 2007.

Frankly, I'd start looking at hotels in Nashville or Shreveport before Dallas.

Nega-Tigers above, I don't think we lose at home to A&M so only 3 loses

We'd probably have to win out for the Cotton Bowl to take us. I don't think 9-3 would be good enough to get us in. Since A&M went last year, we might be an attractive option for them.

Yeah, writing off LSU is pretty idiotic. They may not win, but people are predicting blowouts.

If any fans should be disappointed it should be Texas A&M , they are the ones who might have 4 loses

the Cotton really wants a Texas vs Texas A&M matchup but if that does not happen, look for LSU vs Texas or OU

I think its a possibility, but if we had to play baylor it would suck.

I know LSU isn't vastly superior to Baylor, but are you really that fricking afraid of a team who has done nothing but fatten up on unranked mediocre teams?

Hell, out of all the defenses they have faced, TWO of them are ranked above 100, and aren't even top 50.

LSU v. Texas would be intersting, lots of talent, same type of coach and Universities that kept rewarding said coaches with extensions.

New Orleans Bowl. No need for hotel rooms.

Couldn't agree more, but I think A&M only gets a Cotton Bowl bid if we get a BCS bid (which isn't necessarily a stretch if we win out).

Being from Texas, I couldn't think of a better BCS alternative than putting the stamp of approval on Mack Brown's two-weeks' notice. Geaux Tigers.

Well didn't our top 5 defense just give up over 500 yds to ole freakin miss. Yeah I would be afraid of what Baylor could/would do to our defense as well.

While the 09 Ole Miss team had 4 losses, the Cotton Bowl committee is probably looking for higher marquee games now that it's being played at Jerry World.
