I went to the game with some Ole Miss insiders and got the story. Apparently on the ride to the stadium they watched a video of Ole Miss LSU highlights from over the years mixed in with scenes from the movie Gladiator.

Apparently Lsu has only beat Ole miss 9 times in Oxford? In the early years the games were played in Baton Rouge because they had double the seating capacity. Freeze talked about home and how it's something you protect At all costs. He did what any great coach does and gets his players to play over there heads tun through walls for him.

Unfortunately Miles does not. He gets the least out of the talent he has. A depleted Ole Miss team beat a 6th ranked LSU team loaded with NFL talent. It's an epic mismanagement that only our government could match. It's hard for intelligent knowledgeable fans to support this nonsense. I have no problem loosing to a better team, none at all. But when you bring a gun to a fight and the other guy has a stone and you loose, I have a problem with that. Particularly when I am paying a LOT of money to see him lose that fight!

Well there was obviously an emotional disconnect with our players, but good job for Freeze getting his players pumped up for a game everyone was telling them they would lose. Props to them for having heart!

don't act like LSU players don't do this for Miles. If you don't think they do, you're kidding yourself and trying too hard.

After reading the Rant all weekend, I don't know how true this is. Apparently LSU has zero NFL talent.

I never question our players it there effort. I think a football player is similar to a solider in that he is out there to do whatever is necessary to get the job done. He is putting himself in harms way (not to the same extent as a soldier) to do the job. Miles is the general and he is not a very competent one. I would compare this past weekend to the United States getting it's arse kicked by Costa Rica.

Could you give an example of that in the last two seasons. I haven't seen much since Miles laid down in the BCS Championship. They seem to have "lost their chest" after that game.

So if Miles had showed a clip of the Patriot right before getting on the bus, none of this would have happened, or maybe even 300...we would have freaking crushed em.

Yes, they know that a hype video is the answer.

Yes that's the video! You have to ask yourself what would the score have been if Ole Miss had been at full strength? Hell when Dandy Don says we got out coached we got worked. Most people are happy about it and say we will be fine. This is the biggest year for recruiting in the history of Louisiana. We can to afford to be complacent and blow this season. If this class does not fall in to place the program will take a giant step backward.

It's not just a hype video. It's getting kids to believe. It's called motivation. Freeze gets kids to believe and run through walls. Miles does it during home night games but it has to be done every week! It's called consistency and it's a missing principle from Miles leadership!

You do realize Les Miles in 55-5 against unranked teams?
