A great QB can elevate an average team and drag them to another level of performance, but you begin to see diminishing returns as the base level of the team increases. Mett is a more than adequate quarterback for LSU. A Jameis Winston or Johnny Manzeil isn't going to make LSU that much better. You have talent everywhere on the field.

I don't think the quarterback position is an area of concern for LSU.

I'm assuming you're talking about Manning, but you're really comparing the two??

Maybe.

If not, I'm sure HR or SRivers can be that guy.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen anybody say on here. And I have seen some pretty idiotic things.

You know, last night I was really hoping Les would play Jennings in the 2nd half. I mean Zach has done great this year, but last night's game sort of reminded me of 1/9/12 when he refused to put Lee in at all. I mean 3 picks in the first half. That's more than he has had all season long. I felt bad for Zach, but I feel Les should have either put Jennings in to see if he could get something going offensively or just freaking pound the ball like we did against Florida. I told my husband Ole Miss would be motivated to play hard because of that loss to A&M. Let's face it, we did not go in there prepared & Les pretty much acknowledged that after the game.

Just my humble opinion. I just hate that we lost that game!

frick NO!!!

Did anybody else watch the same game I did? Yes Mett did throw 3 pics. But the whole problem is LES MOTHERfrickING MILES!!! What reminded me of 1/9/12 is LSU lining up in a two tight end, one receiver set the whole first half trying to run the ball over and over and over.

Miles overthinks everything. "Well we can run on this team" or "well we can pass on this team." And this screws up the chemistry of the team time and time again.

JUST RUN THE OFFENSE THAT GOT YOU WHERE YOU ARE!!!!

They did in the 2nd half but we had already spotted Ole Miss 17 points.

I love how the rant instantly writes off Mett, a projected 1st rounder, b/c of 1 bad game.

The intelligence level, or lack thereof, never ceases to amaze me.
