What level of player would you target? Or be willing to give up?

Defenses aren't very valuable, streamers can get the same amount of point each week.

While I normally agree with you, you're wrong as it pertains to the Kansas City defense. On my fantasy team with AJ Green, Megatron, Michael Vick, Gio bernard - my highest scoring "player" is the kansas city defense.

In fact, they are the 12th highest scoring "player" in my league, right behind Dez Bryant.

While I'm not saying they are as valuable as Dez Bryant, I am saying that they are more valuable than any other defense in the league - by a landslide.

I can't imagine ever trading for a defense.

I'm not saying I would either, but they are carrying my team right now.

I'll play Miami's defense and they'll be just as good against Buffalo. KC def just gives you consistency every week.

My thought normally, but the Chiefs have been consistent. I think they have 40 points higher than second place.

ETA: They are the 10th higher scorer in my league. They have Houston (Yates), Cleveland (Weeden), and Bills (whoever) coming up. I want to ditch them before they have to play Denver twice in 3 weeks.

The question still stands. Would you be willing to part with anyone of value?

I would trust them against Denver, probably the one team that could bring pressure on Manning from just the defensive line. Not saying they would shut him down but Denver has an offensive line issue so I could see Manning getting sacked, throwing picks vs this defense

Pretty much the same here, just as the Chicago D carried me last year. I agree with the "defenses aren't deemed very valuable" sentiment, but sometimes like Chicago last year and KC this year, there are exceptions.

meh...people always say this, but I don't really agree...picking a good matchup doesn't always work out, and you're definitely not gonna score like KC.

they've gotten 17+ points every week but 1 (their "bad week" was 9), and 24+ points three times

It's true if you're talking about the #3-5 D...but the top D or top 2 Ds (depending on the year) are valuable.

Although, you can't really trade defenses. The KC defense is more valuable on your team. You won't get good value in return, because people don't trade for defenses.

I agree...they aren't deemed very valuable, but they are valuable.

I'm gonna start them against Denver...how can you not?
