From today's email to Coaches Committee members:
quote:

Upcoming Schedule

Monday: Practice 3pm; Scrimmage 5pm

Tuesday: Practice 3pm; Scrimmage 4pm

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: Practice 3pm; Scrimmage 7pm

Friday: Practice 3pm; Scrimmage 4pm

***All practices are open to the public, times are approximate and are subject to change due to weather etc.***

Scrimmage 8-10 Leaders

Andrew Stevenson 3-8 with a double

Chris Sciambra 4-8 with a triple

Tyler Moore 3-7 with a double and home run

Freshman Infielder Kramer Robertson* 4-7 with a double and home run

Cody Glenn pitched three scorless innings

Kurt McCune pitched a scoreless inning

Junior Righty Brady Domangue pitched three scoreless innings with four strikeouts

*For those posters who don't remember, Kramer Robertson is Kim Mulkey's son.

EDITED on 10/17:
According to PM and Alan Dunn at the Coaches Committee meeting Tuesday night we've got 3 pitchers with sore arms and will be shut down "for a while" this fall. They hope they will be able to pitch some more before fall practice ends but it's day-by-day for now.

The pitchers are Po'-shay, Doo'-mang and Awn-ree' Foo'-shay.

Yeah I know. Some group of pitchers not listed gave up...

well yeah, not so much the 14-30, I'm sure it's not limited to those guys, but someone allowed 14 hits and 6 XBH. I would like to know who gave up what.

thats not really how it works when it comes to posting those stats. a lot of innings are 4 out innings and anything after the 3rd out doesnt count against the pitcher but do count for the hitter. pretty sure of that. basically the stats are very skewed and not really an accurate representation.

not to mention you said "pitchers not listed" gave up the following. but the pitchers listed certainly could have given up the doubles, triples, or singles and still had a scoreless inning. it didnt say they had a 1-2-3 inning.

I'd also like to know but there is no way the coaching staff will ever put something disparaging about players in an email to fans.

I wouldn't call it disparaging, but I also understand why the coaches don't include that info. They're really doing us a favor providing us with any info at all to be honest.

Still, we rely on people like 23 and ell to attend any and all scrimmages along with compiling every single stat and they can't even do that...

I'm thinking I'll go Thursday or Friday. Maybe both depending on how good I give it to the wife this week.
