We only get a set number of home games and most would agree the atmosphere at night game is much more desirable than a noon or two kickoff. Much of this is set by TV broadcast picking time for the game to optimize their schedule. Will it be any different with the SEC network ? will the schools have more input as to starting time? Would be nice if Tigers could limit the number of home day games. I know it’s all about the money, but if you want to keep the stands packed, and the tradition in tack got to have the stars in the sky and the lights on in tiger stadium for kickoff.

For football, SEC Network plans to air three Saturday games per week, covering a morning, afternoon, and evening game. While CBS will maintain its first pick of games for its 3:30 p.m. ET telecast, it will no longer have an exclusive broadcast window—allowing ESPN's outlets and SEC Network to air games alongside CBS.

This. Less hot too. At LSU we play games at night.

Which means more day games as now there's 2 guaranteed day slots outside of CBS instead of 1.

It's not like you are going to see the BIG games on the SEC network.

If anything, I would be worried that you will see more of the Kent St and Furman games on at 11:00am

Night games help with traffic
Fans have all day to get to game instead of all coming at the same time for big SEC games
