The defense came off of a very good half of defense in Starkville. Now they get a very good team at home right after that good defensive output. This Florida team also is no offensive power so I believe all in all this game will be a huge confidence booster to our D. If they have a decent game it could potentially set up our defense for a nice second half of the season. I also sense that a leader will emerge.

You forget that Moo State was still ripping off yardage at will in the 2nd half. The D is a very weak and sick sister and it plays ugly.

Moo state offense was doing nothing at will in the second half. I agree this matchup vs Fla is opportunity for the D to make a statement.

The D won't be fantastic but I don't think they play the way you expect.

This is about the time of year where younger players start playing(learned the system)and adjustments start getting sorted out. Have faith, Chavis knows what he is doing.

We don't need the D to play great just play average. The offense is a juggernaut with cam at the helm and will carry us.

For this game I predict we see a lot of blitz packages to shake up this QB. People on this site are saying that it won't be loud it's a day game but it will be loud enough to get In Murphy's head.

I also see Muschamp challenging LSU D to stop their run. This won't be easy but I don't think they will win by playing the run to open the pass.

LSU handles the gators in the swamp similar to the Miss St game. Will be a close game going into the 3rd.

Florida is playing much better with Murphy, than with Driskell. they are no offensive juggernaut, but they are an efficient effective offense with Murphy at the helm. What worries me is his scramble /athletic ability, after watching Prescott and Russell of all people scramble for 20 yard gains several times while our MLB and other LB helplessly looked on. Miles said Beckwith would play alot this game and they are grooming for the MLB spot. I hope he can step up along with the rest of the defense and make a difference. Our DE's also have to play well setting the edge and rushing the passer.

Florida offense will magically look good against our defense.

They gained over 200 yards and had 2 drives end because of turnovers

I just hope it doesn't make Tyler Murphy a Heisman contender.

You can say what you want but the name of the game is points. WVU put up 533 yards against us but only score 21. We put up 366 yards and scored 40 offensive points alone. Bend but don't break. MSU was averaging 463 yards and we held them to 468. We are playing a ton of freshman and first year starters trying to find the best combo and of course we are taking licks. We had a terrible game at UGA and it will take more than a week to correct.

We gave up 194 and 3 points the second half. If we can do that for two halfs a game you have 388 yards and 6 points. I call that a decent defense for us this year.

I didn't see that. I saw very inept MSU quarterbacks who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn miss very open wide receivers. I saw MSU receivers drop passes at critical junctures, too. The 3 points given up is an anomaly... the LSU defense didn't play that well.

LSU needs to pressure the young qb early and often.

Stuff the run and contain. Nothing new
