British comedy on MTV, mid-to-late 80s. Thoughts?

Own the box set. Haven't watched in ten plus years. Thanks for the reminder. Time to annoy the wife with some British humor.

Always enjoyed the mid-episode musical interlude. Motörhead made an appearance once.

Couldnt understand hardly any of the humor back then bc i didnt understand some of the words and terminology used by the Brits back then. I am gonna give it another try bc i loved the era.

An all-time favorite. Had them on VHS in high school.

It did take a while to "get" some of the British humor, but I thought it was pretty damn funny and unusual. There were only 12 episodes, total. Loved the random frame or two of some odd thing that had absolutely nothing to do with the episode.

Youtube recently had a 25th anniversary video about the series that was pretty good and talked with some of the cast today:

Obscure comedy gold. I loved that show!

The one where the government imposes a television tax so when the tax collector comes snooping around Vyvyan eats the Tele.

Now I need to go watch some of those

How 'bout Vyv making a raging homicidal maniac potion - which was a "cure" - for NOT being a raging homicidal manic.
Then he puts it in a coke can "so nobody would drink it by mistake."

I was very young when that show came out. The only episode I remember was when the punk rock guy was pregnant.
