Now, I'm a long time Chucky fan, but I am sad to say that I was very disappointed in how low budget this movie turned out to be. The writers should have added more locations in the movie than just a single house for the entire hour and a half. Movies with single environments like that get really boring, really quickly. Although there were a couple of surprises in the movie, I still gotta say "watch at your own risk".
Eta: Oh yeah, and if you decide to watch the movie, be sure to continue watching after the credits.

I saw it as well, couldn't help myself. I had a bad feeling about it when I saw Brad Dourif's daughter was the star, figured that's the only way they could talk him into doing it but she was surprisingly good compared to the rest of the cast who were mostly awful.
And the low budget really hurt the puppet animatronics and cgi. It's crazy how much better Chucky looked 25 years ago in the original Child's Play.
With all that being said, I'd still say it's worth watching once, it's better than Seed of Chucky at least.

So this isn't a movie about the Oakland Raiders?

I thought it was the best one since Part 2. I thought the one location setting working perfectly and kept everything very tight and compelling. Having all the events happen in one night in one house is pretty cool. There were some cheesy parts but it wasn't the comedy-fest that "Bride" and "Seed" were.
To me, the post-credits ending was better than the actual ending. Hope that's setting up another sequel with that particular character (NO SPOILERS), although I'm not sure how much longer Dourif is going to want to do these movies.

I watched it a few weeks ago. Was disappointed in the terrible effects work on Chucky, the doll looked better 25 yeara ago in CP1-3 than he did in this one. Too much CGI and I hated the way his face changed from scene to scene. Acting sucked outside the main girl and the house setting got old after awhile.
With that said I didn't hate the movie, enjoyed the "surprises" and nods to the older films. Even gave me some backstory on CLR. Better than Seed, but that's about it.

I wasn't a big fan of how Chucky looked either. It was a good movie but it was missing something the older Chucky movies had.
