I think McGoughs taxidermy did a great job on it. Not saying this because it's mine but it's one of the best coyote mounts I have seen. He said he got a lot of comments on it.

e picture doesn't do him justice on how big he was. I've caught close to 100 coyotes and he is the biggest I have ever caught.

This is him alive.

This is dead.

Damn, I like that a lot. Never thought about getting one mounted, but that has me thinking!

How much and where is your taxidermist located?

I shot a beautiful Male coyote 3 years ago and planned to keep it for either a tanned hide or full body mount. Put him in a cooler in a big black trash bag and ended up throwing it out because it stunk to high hell.

What did you do prep wise to deliver to taxidermist? How long between kill and delivery to taxidermist?

I put him on the wall. In my living room I have vaulted ceilings. I couldn't trust setting him on the floor because of my wife's shite eater, I am afraid it would chew on it.

The taxidermist is in West Monroe, McGoughs Taxidermy. He does a very good job on just about anything. Does some of the prettiest fish you will see anywhere. He mounts 500+ deer a year too. He is not cheap because he gets so much business he charges more.

Looks like he is getting in trouble for pooping. Bad coyote!!

Seriously, Mcgough's does good work. They have done a duck for me and a couple of horn mounts. Really nice guy too.

He said it had picked up but he has been packed every year for years. The amount of deer they pump out ever year is amazing. He mounts a lot of exotics as well. His new thing is placks, they have a new addition added on where they can carve anything into wood.

He was supposed to be snarling but McGough ordered the wrong form. He said he could change it any time I wanted to bring it back in, but it looks so good I decided to leave it alone.

Killed my finest rooster for this mount. The wood at the top of the picture, attached to the beam, has an albino and black squirrel from the yard.
