What should my next game console be?

Currently I have an Xbox 360 that I have had since they first came out. I'm looking to get a newer console but not sure which one, should I buy a PS3 after the PS4 and Xbox 1 come out or should bite the bullet and buy one of the new ones? I have nothing really against the Xbox other than I'm tired of paying for Xbox live when sony offers theirs for free. What says the Gaming Board?

Do people really take the online opinions of other when considering what console to buy?

Just demo them out both and see which you enjoy more.
I believe for multiplayer stuff you have to pay for some playstation access thing, but everything else online is still free.
Idk I don't find paying for live to be a deal breaker..
Personally I don't think you should by a ps3 tho. Go big or go home.
