This is a serious question. Please refrain from making "sour grapes" comments and the like as that does nothing to address the subject. We're seeing more and more every year. A blatantly disregarded grounding call by Manning today that cannot be explained by incompetence. The blatantly obvious calls in the tcu/texas tech game earlier this year. I remember a Giants game last season where they reviewed a an obvious play (I hate the Got damn Giants) that went against the Giants inexplicably and unexplainedly. If its even possible, just how much will it take to make you quit watching?

Really wasn't a terrible call. Could have been called I guess but not really.

Sour grapes

That's a fair point; however, I counter that with the fact that as a hogs/boyz fan I became numb to sour grapes years ago. If you're actually denying the existence of these calls than say so. I would love for someone to explain teh ignored grounding call earlier or the smu/texas tech game.

Thank you for the legitimate response. I expect 90% of the responses to be cliche troll and flame material but there is a small chance an actual discussion might take place.

Good grief. Who said anything about sympathy. Do you deny the existence of these calls?

The refs didn't even flinch like it wasn't even worth consideration. That was the most suspicious part. Just like the ref staring at the db shove Witten ob earlier. I just started thinking how much like Wrastlin football would have to become like b4 I quit watching. If they implement the 18game schedule or expand the playoffs Im definitely done with the NFL.

I agree but better tvs and constant replay coverage are the difference in my perception.

NCAA seems to have many more biased calls than the NFL in my opinion.

Same here. I used to watch religiously and play 5-6 times a week. After the absolute screw job on the Kings vs Lakers and then the ref coming out about games being fixed, I've watched maybe 20 minutes total.

While this is true I find it more tolerable based on the whole metaphor of football and life and its good these young men learn early just how unfair life can be and often is. The NCAA "championship" it, and of itself, is patently unfair so the bs calls seem to be a little easier to swallow.

The NFL, on the other hand, has the best playoff system of all the major sports. While its not perfect, its probably the best you can get in a sport as violent as football. I guess that is why it burns me up so much when I see an obvious ignored call in the NFL. I'm already watching with a much higher presumption of fairness as compared to the NCAA.
