We're in a very precarious position of losing all the advancements we've made in space that we did 40 years ago, 50 years ago. From my perspective, this movie couldn't have come at a better time to really stimulate the public. I was very, very impressed with it.

That would be incredible if this movie turned out to be that influential. America needs to get back on this boat of ambition and curiosity.

Our government can't even agree to keep national parks open. You really think they are capable of tackling space travel and exploration?

You realize the government compelled NASA to waste it's already meager budget on a Muslim outreach program, right?
The govt can only waste money and bomb brown people. Find some brown aliens and we'll go there asap.

NASA wasted too much time and money on the shuttle program. Imagine what could've been done if those resources were put towards solar system exploration.

Privatize NASA and we'll have the moon terraformed a few decades later.

I don't know who Cauron has dirt on, but there is no way this movie is that good. Critics are basically putting this flick in the Godfather/Citizen Kane/Return of the King/Shawshank discussion and I'm not seeing that from it. A good tense space thriller? Sure. But in the inner circle of the discussion for best movie ever? Ninja please.

He's Gamecockalum. Don't you know he reads multiple film sites, is personal friends with Nolan, and knows more than these so-called "critics", who have merely just spent decades of their lives watching multiple films daily and analyzing cinema?

Your hero worship for these people is laughable. Decades of watching films? Hell I've been watching films since I was 3 years old. Guess that makes me an expert too.

These are journalism students who took a film class or two. This would be like calling Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith a sports expert just because they have a journalism degree and are on ESPN.

As for the first half of your post. Your ignorance would make me have pity on you if it wasn't so damn hilarious. Keep believing and saying I'm someone else. It's cute how you try to go to that every time I'm clearly right and you are clearly wrong. Such a sad little man in a country full of sad little men.

You're one of those shitty people on IMDB who root against a film simply because it contains an actor or an actress you don't like, aren't you?

1. I don't post on IMDB nor do I even read their threads.

2. Yeah I don't particularly care for Clooney or Bullock, but I have gone to see their movies if the subject matter interests me enough.

3. Just because I'm not slobbing all over this movie doesn't mean I'm rooting against it. I'm going to see it tomorrow. I expect it to be a satisfying 7-7.5 kind of movie just like Children of Men was.

4. ?????

5. Profit?
