We all know how easy it is to shut down the Ducks offense. So why are they revered by the ESPN network

A few years ago the Oregon Ducks, a/k/a the Phil Knight Flock, purchased the rights to use the Walt Disney Corporation Duck (WDC) image.

ESPN, being owned by the WDC, is the most profitable WDC owned entity. Through the constant promotion of the petite Oregon Ducks, ESPN rakes in the NIKE advertising dollar while the Duck image of the WDC is constantly pushed upon the common sports fan. Two bangs for the price of one!

With that being said, I see a lot of people on this board have fallen for the Duck promotion. I remember a beat down a couple of years ago in Texas and I ask myself, "What have they done since to garner such respect"?

That must be why it happens so often.

Get your head out of your arse.

Look at their schedule. Year in and year out it is much easier than Alabama's!!

I doubt we would shut them down this year.

You may want to start calling PAC12 coaches and let them in on your secret.

When we beat them down, they had two highly promoted backs named James and Barner. We had linebackers and defensive ends running them down. They had to leave the game due to the pain and suffering bestowed upon them. Now, they have one little one named Thomas.

I only wish they would come and get them some!!

The 'pimp' emoticon makes no sense after this statement. But thanks for making a point against a stance no one is actually taking.

Oregon would drop 50+ on LSU. No one has the players to stop Mariotta and De'Anthony Thomas, they're too good.

Well, they gave Auburn '10 a better game than LSU did.
