I went Sunday. Zardon was the most impressive newcomer. He hit the ball hard everytime and hit one out but it was foul.

Out of the 4 new guys that threw, the Peleaz kid was the best. He looks just like Cotton and even wears #58. The other 3 were, witty, Andrew Mitchell, and Cartwright. They all gave up runs

Our defense will be solid. We need bullpen guys bad.

Boxtards......y'all have made my day. Lovin the baseball threads. Can't wait to see some these young guys. Looks like a few might be pretty special.

In Dunn we trust.

I've never seen LSU develop young pitchers so well and so quickly. He's got his work cut out for him this year. My guess is 30-40% of the innings thrown will be from newcomers.

I'm curious to see who will emerge. Anyone have an idea on Sunday starter?

Any word from Glenn? Is he throwing in scrimmages? I recall Paul giving him the summer off so I hope he's back on the bump throwing.

This is no knock on McCune, but the young talent is just that good. That's not to say he can't do it.

He's not a high-effort guy like a Fury who will give everything for an inning or two. But his command and "stuff" hasn't progressed like it should from his freshman year. So it's tough to find a consistent role for him to fill.
