If there was a conspiracy, don't you think Goodell would have ensured the outcomes in both the Broncos and 49ers games?
The only reason he suspended Payton was because the Saints were warned and ignored his warning. It's one of the reasons Payton was allowed not to speak about it but you know he's waiting to write his tell all about it once Goodell is gone and he can get away with it without affecting his profession.

Blackouts seem to occur in the NFL more frequently than other sport. I have no facts to back up that statement. Just my perception.
