You made a good list.

The NL MVP is a toss up. I would tend to lean McCutchen but there is a list of 4-5 guys after that are very deserving and would not be shocked if any one of them win the award.

NL Cy Young is Kershaw.

NL Rookie Fernandez.

NL Manager is Hurdle by default. He really isnt a good manager but will win because of the Pirates post season entry. None of the other managers (Matheny,Gonzalez or Mattingly) stand out from one another all that much.

AL MVP will be Miggy. (Playoffs to Trouts no playoffs will kill him with traditionalist voters.)

AL Cy Young Sherzer

AL Rookie Will Myers.

AL Manager is Francona, no question.

NL Rookie of the Year
1. J. Fernandez, MIA (but will prolly be puig)

AL Rookie of the Year
1. W. Myers, TB
2. J. Iglesias, BOS/DET (could see this going either way)

NL Manager of the Year
1. C. Hurdle, PIT

AL Manager of the Year
1. T. Francona, CLE

Both of these will be landslides

Darvish, Sale, Felix, and Scherzer are all really close IMO. I probably should have had Felix higher

Ryu, Shelby, and Teheran are all basically the same. Ryu might have had the best season, but it's hard for me to call him a rookie.

They are. The two main races that are really toss ups between 3-5 people in my mind are the NL MVP and the AL Cy Young. The rookie of the year awards are as well to but to a lesser extent.

I don't see how people can give MVP's to players on awful teams.

How is it their fault that their teams suck?

Well, you can make this argument all you want but it does matter in how the actual voters decide.

That's why I wish it was MOP instead of MVP. We reward the best of everything else, but the best player only counts if your team was worth a shite.

it's the media dopes

1 year they claim it doesn't matter, so they can Vote Sosa, then claim it does and vote for Howard, etc. Baseball writers are asshats.

MLB has to change the voting. you have people voting, who don't even cover the sport of baseball anymore and havent for decades, yet still get to vote.

How the frick does Keith Law get a vote?
