In the sense of mixing up 1-2 WRs that are locked up in man and playing zone around them? We know we have issues with straight man coverage, but mixing in the man with safety help, zone, zone blitz and man/zone combo could that benefit the D personnel at all?

Just thoughts and curiousity in an attempt to solicit meaningful input from those with more knowledge...

It looked to me that we had more problems with zone on Saturday than straight man

Without a better pass rush, the coverage won't matter.

Most definitely. But in the instance of the game winning pass, with the precedent that if a guy is running a deep route, then mills could have been locked up with him, knowing they had safety issues covering over the top....pass off the underneath and short routes but stay locked on the deep threat...
