People rant about EA putting out the same product...NBA 2k14 is 10X worse than any redundant Ea sports game.

you're funny EA homeboy When 2K13 is regarded as one of the top basketball games of all-time, there is a reason to be redundant. You refine a great game, not redo it. Same thing goes for The Show. They don't change much year after year. Why? Because the game is amazing, just refine the gameplay. Madden and NCAA suck balls each year but barely try to make gameplay better and focus on stupid graphical improvements.

It's great as usual. With the next generation soon coming out, I didn't expect much but it's easily the best NBA sim I've ever played. The new assist controls and the on court feel are very impressive. They have definitely strengthened the defensive side of the ball to where you can't just run in 100mph down the lane for a dunk every time.
Downfalls is there is way too much goal tending on both sides of the court and they didn't really fix the problem of players constantly running out of bounds with the ball or on pass attempts.
It has a great feel though.

They actually call it correctly. Just happens a lot bc the players go after the ball.

It might just be the AI ramped up too high. They can patch that. I know one of the big things they were pushing this year was the ability to block shots. I guess they just went a little too far with the AI. The fact that you can block dunks this year is enough for me to get it. Offense was way too easy in 2k13. When your PG is averaging 40-10 on Hall of Fame, it's too easy.

The defense is good in the game. I feel as if the defense on your own team is much better which I enjoy. I'm not used to the new buttons yet so I still get a lot of turnovers.

Played 3 online games and won all 3. But 2 opponents turned off their Ps3 while getting beat handily and the game didn't reward me a victory like it would in 2k13 
Should be 3-0 but I'm only 1-0.
There are shite loads of turnovers in this game. I mean crazy high amounts.
Also, I'm having major problems with muscle memory as you no longer have to hold down L2 and the right stick to shoot anymore. It's just hold down the right stick by itself like it was in the game before 2k13.
I'm liking it so far. Harder to just run around and shoot which is more realistic.

Yeah the not holding L2 is taking some getting used to. I like the idea of the new assist controls but it needs to have a better success rate. I feel like it wont work unless the person you are passing to is wide open.

whatever. I downloaded it on my pc. I'll see if that works out. $30 aint bad. I don't need the "myteam" mode or anything anyway
