I agree, There just doesn't appear to be any playmakers as of yet. No push on the line at all. Linebackers are weak and db's lost. I hate the soft zone that we run that allows teams to march down and finish us off but damn if nobody makes a play ever there is not much Chavis can do. Its what happens the year after half the defense goes to the NFl. We really shouldn't be shocked...although I am because of my unrealistic expectations.

Who recruited them?

Who develops them?

So our coaches havent found a few defenses that these guys can run without blowing coverages?

We lost by 3 on the road to one of the best teams in the country. No reason to lose your shite.

Well it is painfully obvious at this point that you can't lose the experience we lost on defense last year to the NFL and expect to be what we are used to be. I expected a drop off, just didn't expect this much of a drop off. Who would have thought that our defense would be giving up over 4.5yds per carry? I can say that I certainly didn't.

Our front 7 needs to step it up and step it up big, if they don't figure out a way to keep the yds per carry under 3 going forward we will be lucky to go 9-3 this year.

At this point I expect our defense to play well at Miss St because something tells me Chief is going to go all red man on them in practice this week.

The reason people are losing their "shite" is not because of the loss to UGA it is the play of the defense so far this year. It is the thought of a defense that right now has more holes in it than swiss cheese and the fact that we still have to play A&M which has an incredible offense and Bama who is the #1 team in the country and will be ready to play us.

When you are giving up over 4.5 yds per play rushing to the teams we have played so far, that is a huge issue. People aren't freaking out because of a 3pt loss to a good UGA team, they are freaking out because of the play of the defense and the fact that we are not used to having to rely on our offense to have to win these games going forward.

Topwater... I'm not happy either but your acting like were gauranteed an awesome defense every year because were LSU. We lost half the defense to the NFL. Their very young and inexperienced. No coach can perform miracles. Like others have said already, other top programs have young weaker defenses this year. I think Alabama D looks pretty vulnerable. I will also add that I think UGA is a great team, pretty much the same as LSU. We will get better.

You're full of shite. It's both. I still don't know if Murray is good or bad because the players couldn't get to him rushing 4 and Chavis did nothing to bring more heat.

I sure saw Georgia running stunts against Mett though.
