I don't come to Sains Talk too much, but here is the obvious analogy that I have come up with:

Saints Talk is to the Falcons as Tiger Rant is to Alabama/Saban.

To address your point, Ryan isn't that bad...I just think he is missing a RB right now. They could do worse.

He's not a bad QB.he's not an elite QB, but he's not bad.

He's an 11-20 qb

Nah he's definitely top 10 QB. Better than Romo / Rivers / Dalton. More consistent than Flacco and Ben.

$103M and "they could do worse" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement.

He's the third highest paid player in the league.

The third.

ETA: Maybe Second?

That's just timing of when he signed his contract factored in with his age. He won't even be top 10 highest paid in 3 years.

He's a choker and his contract isn't going to help that team.

You mean, both places talk about their main rivals? Is that some sort of surprise?

Well I don't see the cap growing enough to ease his cap hit in the next three years.

So it still hurts.

Ryan's Stats from tonight (34/54, 421 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT) could possibly be Brees stats tomorrow if we can't get a running game in early..

you realize the Saints making the playoffs and getting a home game is directly tied to how the NFC South does? We can have the 2nd best record in the NFL and have to travel for a wildcard game (Seattle).

So yea, losses like tonight are pretty big for the Saints

cool. Give Brees that shot at the end like Tampa and he's going to take advantage of it. That out route miss on 2nd down by Ryan was BAAD. He was wide open and probably walks in

Ryan doesn't suck, the coaching staff does. Separate issues

The front office needs to be put to the coals for constructing a relatively poor offensive line while only swapping out one aging, injury prone lead back for another without adding new, young alternatives.

Not as bad as the Ravens signing Flacco.

May not be the most clutch, but I think some people are forgetting that we started 0-4 with Brees twice. He will be a good QB for them for awhile pump the brakes
