To see how Chavis and our defense react to this game. This might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Maybe our defense wakes up after this loss. If we win out, we're in the SEC Championship. If we win that, we're in the NC. This just seems a lot to me like the Florida Ole Miss game in 2008.

Interesting football ahead of us

I'm not excited....but I don't think they'll give up 40+ points every game

I'm a little excited that this might have been bad enough to force personnel changes. Martin and Eugene have shown its time to give someone else a shot.

Wouldn't say I'm excited, more curious now to see how we respond. Nothing about this defense is exciting right now, I'm afraid.

It's the balls to the wall mentality. UGA had it last week and they won. Desperation is a great motivator..., especially hen you have the talent.

We have a talent deficiency at some positions this year. Coaching can only get you so much. We need to get some better corners and more experience which takes time, DJ Welter is NOT a long term solution and Micah Eugene is just young

It takes all my pressure off the season, I know we won't go undefeated.

I was kind of disappointed that my game for the year was UF after they lost to Miami. After our loss and that being the first home game since, it makes that game so much more important and exciting. Can't wait to be in DV for that one.

Honestly I don't think there is a lot you can do almost halfway through the season when you are talking about schemes and player development. Accountability and leadership is what I'm looking for going forward. Blown assignments and poor communication is unacceptable.

I said this exact same thing today. Their defense is just about as young as ours, at least in the secondary.

I think that will be a huge motivator.

Yeah not so sure about that. If Ohio State and Oregon go indefeated I think the SEC gets snubbed for once. They only loved Bama as a one loss NC contender. We would get left out.

I think your just optimistic. Our defense just doesn't have any playmakers right now. We will get better though but we are definetly rebuilding.

right. provide the polsters and BCS realize that everyone ahead of us plays cupcakes and some if not most of the teams ahead of us lose a game or 2...

SECCG would be a great start but we'll need some help to make the NC.

The offense for the last few years was depressing because it wasn't a quick fix, it was a culture of every aspect of the offense was bad.

The defense has the weapons, but no one has taken control. Chief will now get involved and get this turned around quick.

I'm relieved we got it out of the way by the 5th game.

I wish I had the optimism some of y'all do. I was at the game and rewatched it tonight and the defense looked like an even bigger Chinese fire drill than I even thought yesterday. I'm not sure what's wrong with the secondary, but they were constantly out of position and no one knew who had what responsibility. And the few times they had that figured out, they failed to make adequate plays on the ball.
